Independent Survey of Anne Hathaway's Guests Reveals...

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You

The results are in from the survey of past guests conducted by two Southern Oregon University students for their Applied Business Research course.

Professor Donna Lane said the return rate of nearly 15 percent was not only statistically sound, it was very high and indicated a particularly loyal clientele.

Major conclusions are:

  • Room cleanliness - 100 percent of the respondents were satisfied with the cleanliness of their rooms.
  • Room Comfort - All but four of the 340 respondents were satisfied with the comfort of their rooms.
  • Food - All but four of the 339 respondents were satisfied.
  • Innkeeper relationship - More than ninety-five per cent of those responding were very satisfied.

Why stay at Anne Hathaway's?

In order of number of responses, the chief reasons were:

  • Location

What's the favorite part of your stay?

The surveyors wrote: "Common themes included: the welcoming and accommodating innkeepers/hosts, overall atmosphere and experience at the bed and breakfast, the "at home" or "cozy" feel, the breakfasts and snacks offered, conversations held with the innkeepers and other guests, association with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and being pet-friendly."

We extend heartfelt thanks to all who responded and pledge to work on correcting the several shortcomings noted - including better signage and lighting - and to continue to provide top-notch service to all who choose to stay at Anne Hathaway's.

Please also join us in saluting our ongoing partnership with Southern Oregon University and to students Nathan Witt and Kasey Okihara who designed and managed the survey.
